As a child, my mother got me a pet kitten and I still consider it the best gift I ever got. Later, she told me she got me that kitten so I'd learn how to be more responsible. With virtual pets I don't think you can really learn that, they don't get ill, don't need any &lt;a href="http://www.depet.net/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.depet.net/"&gt;pet meds&lt;/a&gt; or real care.
