    Let me pose up:

Arcade bundles with sega tennis and +5 games usually is your quickest bet to a jasper. I picked one up for $182 from dell.com(with coupon). 256mb onboard mem is also a clean bet that its in your newer rank of chipsets(not sure if that specifies a jasper or not)

Your mainly looking for the 12.1 rating and or Manf date in 2008 from less than 5 months ago(oct/nov with jaspers starting coming out?). If your not seeing the 12.1 dont even think about it(new systems at the store you can peep thru the hole and finger around to view the ratings on the back stickers on the console)

But lets say your out in the wild, someones selling you a system only in person and the back label is torn off(unlikely). How can you tell:
-Power brick is about 50% lighter...
-white dvd bezzle tray versus the old chrome color.(sign of a newer system, changed to a diff rom drive)
-The system in general is lighter
-If you can turn it on, the system runs ultra quiet...more of a slight hum...compared to the overly noticable fan fire up from the system powering on.

If you need any more clarifications ill aid in help at maffilms@gmail.com(specify in subject about jasper)
