Absolutely agree. What experts are finding out is that a large percentage of those individuals who have ONE addiction are likely to be suffering from another one at the same time. That's got to be tough to treat.

Ah, but don't forget that there are a number of co-occurring disorders that accompany all types of addiction. Alcoholism for one is part of an unhealthy lifestyle that is exhibited by a portion of college age kids who may also kind themselves addicted to videogames.

Ah Video Games. Just like alcohol, they are harmless the majority of people who engage in them - but it is that small percentage who become addicted that need professional help. Another similarity is the impact they can have on the life of a teenager. Teen alcohol rehab programs are filled with individuals who would have seen the physical and emotional health permanently damaged without treatment. It's something that parents MUST be ever-vigilant about.
